Well done for completing all of your home learning tasks these past two weeks. I know it can be tricky to focus when you are not at school, so great work. It is now time to relax as it is finally the school holidays. We can now keep in contact and you can share photographs of your work through Purple Mash. Just have a look on Sharing - Shared blogs - Maple class. There is a message there from me, please add a blog post for me and your classmates to see. There are a few tasks which are set out for you to complete over the break. There are some whole school activities, outlined in the email parents received. I will also set a Maths and D&T activity for you to complete. It is important to remain active and keep your brain busy so I will leave up the Joe Wicks link, please also use Phonics Play, Hit the button and any other links that were fun and kept you busy learning. Enjoy your break!
Please use the link to watch a video which will teach you all about writing poetry. Then, use what you have learned from both the video clip and our work on poetry in class to help you to write a poem all about what makes YOU brilliant! Are you an excellent friend? Do you have fantastic hair? Are you a born Mathematician? A fantastic writer? I cannot wait to read all about it!
Please watch the video on how to draw a self portrait. Use what you learn to create your own. This work will go alongside your poem. Think about the things you included, if you are a brilliant writer you could draw a pen and paper in the background. Make sure its nice and big, not a tiny face in the corner of a page! Please use plain paper if possible.
D&T - We have been working on preparing healthy food. For your home learning task, if possible, I would like you to have a go at baking banana bread. Not as healthy as salad, but if eaten in moderation, a delicious treat. I have attached a link to a video which will show you how to make it.
How many different combinations of chicks and eggs can you find to make ten? Print the game or draw it into your book.
I have attached a link of high frequency words for you to practice reading and writing at home.
Please follow the link to the Collins Connect website. There is information for parents as to how to sign up for a free account. Children can access a range of books online. Ensure they read books which are the color band they read at school.

The video below is for those children who attend the Tailored Curriculum with Ms. Dheraj. Please ensure your child watches it daily.
A little note from Ms. Kendall
I hope you will all keep singing while you are at home!
This week's link takes you to music that lets you listen to and explore visually. There are lots more on this site. (You need permission from your parents to view the video).
