Easter holiday homework

Hello Birch class,

I have left a little message for you on 2Blog!

For the Easter holiday homework, you can choose to complete it in different ways - in your home learning books or on Purple Mash.

Brilliant me!

What makes you Brilliant?

Click on the YouTube video below to follow a poetry workshop with the poet Zohab Zee Khan on Brilliance Poem. Work through the poems with him and add poetic devices such as alliteration, similes, metaphors and rhymes to write your own poetry. Parents, you can participate too! Once you have written your poem, sketch a self portrait and around your self portrait draw things that makes you brilliant like good at football, good at art etc. Try the sketches in different artistic styles e.g. Romero Britto, Pop Art, Paul Klee, Julian Opie to name a few.

Below are some links to portrait tutorials -

Please upload your work onto Purple Mash at the end of your Easter holidays.

Instructions on how to upload can be found here

In addition,

Continue to read every day and record it in your reading diary. If your reading diary runs out of pages, then add your entries to your Home Learning books.

There are interesting Home Learning activities on the Purple Mash website.

It's lovely to see some of your examples of the Rainbow of Hope you have created. If you would like to create an online one through Purple Mash and send it to me so that it can be displayed with other schools, then use 2Paint or 2PaintaPicture and add it in your blog post.
